4/10/13 Out, Out Claude
In the poem, the narrator's name is Robert Frost. He wrote this poem to let the readers know that a boy cut off his hand by a saw by an accident. In my opinion, it seems like he also wrote this poem to tell us that we should be extra careful when we do something. This story takes place in Vermont, USA. This is also part of New England.
Based on the poem, there was a boy who was working hard with a saw in a yard. When his sister told him to eat supper, he cut off his hand from a saw. When he went to the doctor, the doctor tried to fix him but the hand was already off. When the doctor tried to help him, the boy died by that time.
This poem seems pretty different from other poems, the reason for this is that this poem is much easier to understand when I read it. This poem also doesn't have rhyming words or lines. I also got more and more curious about what is going to happen at the end of this poem because the story gets more intense for the climax as it goes on. The title also doesn't really match with the story of the poem in my opinion.
