4/23/13 Response to One's Self I Sing Claude
When I read the poem, this poem seems like a poem which describes about how freedom and democracy should get provided. This poem is not that long so it is easier to understand about why the poet wrote this. This poem therefore only talks about a single separate man which makes me even want to imagine more about that courage and independence is even more expressed in this poem. In this poem, it talks about the physiology which occurs toward the person who is powerful and has freedom in the democratic society.
In this poem, the author is trying to provide democracy and power toward the citizens of the society. This means that every people whether depending on gender or culture, are going to have equal rights and power in the society.
